Moutardier Resort & Marina
The marina most buyers picture when they imagine Nolin Lake. Slips, cabins, rentals, fuel, and a dockside grill, all inside the Moutardier recreation area southeast of Leitchfield.
Nolin has no community docks — so if a property doesn't carry a private permitted dock, a marina slip or a public ramp is how you get on the water. Here's what each of the three offers, and what it means for property nearby.
Because Nolin River Lake is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, private docks exist only under limited permits and the lake has no shared community dock arrangements. That makes the marinas more important here than on a private lake — for many owners, a slip or a nearby ramp is the water access.
All three sit on different arms of the lake and serve different kinds of owners. Which one you're closest to is a real factor in how much you'll actually use a property, and it shows up in resale.

Operating since 1965 and the largest slip operation on the lake, with more than 210 covered and open slips from 10 to 80 feet. The quickest approach from Louisville.
The smallest and most low-key of the three, with a loyal regular crowd and a genuine community feel. Worth a look if the busier marinas aren't what you're after.
